Uriah's wife, but he never lost his salvation. He never said "restore

Now watch this doctrine of Balaam most carefully. Notice above all, that it
is the deliberate maneuver of a corrupt clergy to bind the people to them,
by leading the people deliberately into the sin of unbelief. The Nicolaitane
doctrine was the corruption of the clergy as they sought political power amongst
themselves, while Balaamism is the subjection of the people to their system
of creed and worship in order to hold them. Now watch this carefully. What
was it that bound the people to the nominal church and thereby destroyed them?
It was the creeds and dogmas formed into church tenets. It was the doctrine
of the Roman Catholic Church. They were not given the true food, the Word.
They were given the food that came from idol worship, Babylonian paganism
wrapped up in Christian terminology. And that very same spirit and doctrine
is right amongst all Protestants and it is called DENOMINATION. Nicolaitanism
is organization, humanizing the leadership of the church, and thereby deposing
the Spirit. Balaamism is denominationalism which takes the church manual instead
of the Bible. And right to this hour, many of God's people are caught in the
snare of denominationalism and God is crying to them, "Come out of her
My people, lest ye be partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not her plagues."
You see they are ignorant. But if the rapture should take place at this moment,
ignorance would be no court of appeal from the judgment of God for being in
the wrong ranks.
For the clergy to organize themselves with one rank over another until they
are finally headed up by a president is a manifestation of the antichrist
spirit, regardless of how wonderful and necessary it may seem. It is nothing
but human reasoning taking the place of the Word. And any person who is in
the organized denominations is right in the midst of an antichrist system.
Now let me say this and make it very plain. I AM NOT AGAINST THE PEOPLE. I
AM AGAINST THE SYSTEM.
With a state and church union the stage has been set for the Dark Ages. And
indeed for about 1000 years the church went into the depth of blackness, knowing
the depths of Satan. When any religious people embrace both Nicolaitanism
and Balaamism, and have the political, financial and physical power to back
it up there is only one direction they can go. That direction is right into
the Jezebel doctrine. Now why do we say this? Because as we pointed out in
the study of the fourth age that Jezebel was a Sidonian, the daughter of Ethbaal
who was king priest to Astarte. He was a murderer. This woman married Ahab
(King of Israel) for political expediency. She then took over the religion
of the people and murdered the Levites, and erected temples wherein she caused
the people to worship Astarte (Venus) and Baal (Sun god). She formulated the
teaching and made her priests teach it, and they in turn made the people accept
it. There you can see exactly what the nominal church was in the Dark Ages.
They left the Word of God entirely except for names and titles of Godhead
and a few Scriptural principles. They twisted what they did take out of the
Bible by changing its meaning. Their college of bishops, etc., wrote vast
treatises, their popes declared themselves infallible and said they received
revelation from God and spoke as God to the people. All this was taught to
the priests who through fear made the people believe it. To dissent was death
or excommunication which might be worse than death. It was now the church
with the assured voice that took over, and wild with power they drank the
blood of the martyrs until the true Christians were all but exterminated and
there was hardly any Word left, and little manifestation of the Holy Ghost.
But the true vine struggled and survived. God was faithful to the little flock
and in spite of what Rome might do to their bodies, Rome could not kill the
Spirit within them, and the light of the Truth shone on, backed by the Holy
Ghost and power.
This is a good place to make an illuminating observation. Look. The deeds
and doctrines of the Nicolaitanes, the doctrine of Balaam, and the teaching
of the false prophetess, Jezebel, do not constitute three spirits or make
three spiritual principles. These three are but the various manifestations
of the same spirit as it goes from depth to depth. What it all is, is the
antichrist spirit of organization in its three various stages. Once the clergy
separated themselves and organized themselves they oppressed the people by
leading them into, and binding them to organization also. This organization
was based upon the creeds and dogma which they taught the people instead of
the pure Word of God. Ritual and ceremony was given an increasing part in
worship, and soon this whole system was a militant and diabolical power that
did its best to control all through the persuasion of discourse or literal
force. It received its energy from its own false prophecies and not the Word
of God. It was now absolutely antichrist though it came in Christ's Name.

you can receive the Holy Ghost when your heart's right. See? Because on Acts
2 Peter give a formula to--a formula to "Repent, and be baptized in the

But then, in Acts 10:49, God turned around and give the Gentiles the baptism
of the Holy Ghost before they was ever baptized at all. You see? So, you see,

I believe their sins were already gone, for the Holy Spirit would've not come
in; and He would not have come in 'less it'd been a predestinated vessel.
I believe Paul, the reason that he had to be baptized again is, he'd persecuted
the Christians...But I believe his sins were already remitted, but he had
to do this to show to the world. And I believe that that's the reason that
we must be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ. And I believe predestinated
seed will see it, and only them will see it.

It was a religious institution. It was a church that set on seven hills, with
one man who had controlling power over all the world, in there. Exactly right.
And we find out it was a woman, and pictured her up just as plain. Not taking

in the world, no other city in the world rules over all the earth. In every
nation that streak of Romanism goes out like in the ten toes of Daniel's vision.

The Bible said that there would be a boycott, even to such a way it would

speak, and it did. And that's the Confederation of Churches, when they confederate
themselves together.

setting upon a scarlet coloured beast,... "Scarlet," in the Bible,
represents "royal." The color "scarlet" means "red."
And "beast" represents "power." Did you notice the beast
come up out of the sea; that was in the Revelation the 13th. And when you
see the beast coming up out of the sea, it's meant that this power was raising
up among the people. But in Revelation 13, when this lamb came up, he came
up out of the earth, no people: United States. But then after he had two little
horns: civil and ecclesiastical powers. And then he received power and spoke
like the dragon did before him. So you just got to mark it down; we are coming
into a religious persecution with the same things that they did in pagan Rome
many years ago, for it's THUS SAITH THE LORD. Now, what is it, "setting
upon a beast, a power."

Watch, there he said, "Let us..." In the United States they said,
"Let us make an image unto the beast." If the beast was a power,
and the power was an organization... Not taking theory now, that's the Word
of God. The organization of the Catholic church organized themselves together
and made a--agree, and they accepted what they call the early fathers together,
and organized the Catholic church, and made a ritual, and what they believed,
and what they would teach, a universal belief. And they forced it to people
by punishment.
And then, when Martin Luther come out, seeing the Spirit of God lead him out,
instead of letting the people stay free, he organized the church, "an
image likened unto the beast," a political power likened unto it. Instead
of letting the people walk as God gives Light, they organized under a discipline,
and they have to stay to that discipline.
God moved right out into the Methodist church. The Methodist had a revival
that swept the world, the Holy Spirit with them, teaching sanctification.
And the first thing you know, when they did that, then they organized a church,
made an image unto the beast (That's right.), a political, organized power
to bind the people of God to a creed, instead of being free to worship and
walk in Light as Light was throwed on their path.

image of the beast mean?
It's--it's a joint question to that, and the person who asked it has a good
question. What make now, if... The Bible clearly teaches that the Catholic
church is the--the beast. The Bible said that a "beast" means "a
power." Is that right? A beast, the Bible says that the beast meant a
power. And the beast was the Vatican City, the Catholic hierarchy. All right.
And now, that was the power of the church that was the beast. Then the Protestant
church come out of the Catholic church, and organized themselves a little
power. That is a image.
If anything... If something was made in my image, it'd have to look like me.
If something made in the image of this church, it'd have to look like the
church. Something was made, a beast--made a image unto this beast, which was
Lutherism, Methodistism, Baptistism, Pentecostalism, Holinessism; all them
isms formed up into an organization and made an image just like the beast.

country they made a image: a confederation of denominations together, the
Nicolaitanes getting together and denominated themselves; and finally will
unite this brotherhood, not come in as Catholics, but they'll be united as

And the Bible said that God raised up Communism to get revenge upon the nations
for what they've done to the children of God. Exactly right. He said, "And
they--they--they give their power and everything to the beast for one hour,

when that atomic bomb or whatever it is will strike that Vatican City, and
the Roman hierarchy will be no more, it said, "And in her was found the

And here's the image to it, a confederation of churches. Won't be long till
we'll have to close them doors out yonder, that's right, or either take a
denominational mark. And we'll close the doors. That's right. We'll... We
know better than that.

Now, remember, the antichrist and the beast is the same self spirit. There's
the trinity. Yes, sir. It's three stages of the same devil power. Remember,
Nicolaitia (See?), it had to be incarnate before it could be crowned. See?
Now, watch this. Three stages: first stage he's called antichrist; second
stage, he's called the false prophet; third stage, he's called the beast.
Notice, Nicolaitia, the antichrist teaching that started in the days of Paul
against God's Word: antichrist... Then he's called again the false prophet,
which when the teaching become a man, he was a prophet to the teaching of
the hierarchy of the--the hierarchy of the Catholic church. The Pope was the
prophet to the false word, and that made him a false prophet. The third stage
is a beast, a man that's crowned in the last days with every power that pagan
Rome ever had, because the seven-headed beast, dragon, was cast out of heaven
and come incarnate in the false prophet. Here it is; he had seven crowns,
and he was cast out and throwed into the earth and the sea. All right. What
are we saying? Who is this rider, this horse rider? You know what it is? It's
Satan's superman.

What is blasphemy? It's "to make fun of, ridicule, talk about."
Now, watch. He had seven heads, ten horns. And watch when he come up out of
the sea. Now, Revelations 17, you that's putting it down, 17:15, said that
the--that the waters represent "thickness and multitudes of the people."
So this beast represents power, ungodly power. ... beast of prey raised up
out of the people, and he stood upon the sands of the sea. And I saw the beast.
And the beast which I saw was like... a leopard,... his feet was the feet
of a bear,... his mouth the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power,
and... seat, and great authority. (The dragon.)
We got two things under consideration now. Watch this beast. It had four different
characters in it.
And if you'll take Daniel 7, you who are marking it down, Daniel 7, Daniel
saw the same vision eight hundred years before this, saw the vision. He saw
those beasts, separate one from another in the beginning of the Gentile ruling.
And here they are, John seeing it, and the end of the Gentile ruling, all
four of those beasts represented in one. Them same old devils, demons that
possessed each kingdom of the Romans down through, and the Greeks, and so
forth on down through the Gentile dispensation, has come right down and all
met up in one beast. We'll find him directly and see who he is. Right. All
those, leopard, lion, all that, the dragon... How many knows what the dragon
is? The dragon represents Rome.

It's the Devil's at the beginning... And I can prove to you that the Bible
said here, "All the world wondered after this beast power, which was,
which is not, yet it is." How could it be, was, and is not? Said, "All
whole world wondered about it." When pagan Roman become papal Rome, it
never ceased. The system of Romanism ceased; when a new king come in, he just
set up a new order. But when it come into pagan Roman through the Catholic
church, through papalism, it never ceases. If one pope dies, they set up another
one; one pope dies, they set up another one. "The beast which was, which
is not, yet is; which is not, which yet is; which... and shall go into perdition."

He is himself a trinity. That's what he's made up of, and he rides in a trinity.

riding of trinity (That's of offices.) a four again (See?), a four again.
All right, three stages of his ministry makes him one person, Satan incarnate,
three stages of the mini... Antichrist, false prophet, and beast, them three
typing... See, now there's three types, now, that makes him. God--or God makes
Himself known too, in water, blood, spirit. Makes a Christian a son of God
by the Word of God. See?. And these three powers makes him a devil. See? Oh,
this here is water, blood, and spirit which is of God. And that's politics,
religion, and demon power mixed together makes him the devil.
Christ's first coming, a mortal. He comes three times. Christ is in three.

Now, somebody said, "Now, there's going to be a--a mark of the beast;
it's going to come someday." Let me tell you; it's already come. See?
As soon as the Holy Ghost begin to fall, the mark of the beast begin to take
place.
See, you only have two things: One of them is, accept It, takes the Seal of
God; to reject It, takes the mark of the beast. To reject the Seal of God
is to take the mark of the beast. Everybody understand? To reject the Seal
of God is to take the mark of the beast, for the Bible said all that was not
sealed by the Seal of God took the mark of the beast.
When the trumpet sounded and all wanted to go free could go, them that didn't
was marked. Now, you see, the mark of the beast, if we talk about it in the
future, is when it's going to be made manifest, when you realize it's what
you've already done. See? And so is the Holy Spirit; It's to be manifested
when we see the Lord Jesus coming in glory, and feel that transforming power,
and see the dead rising out of the grave, and know that in a second longer
we'll be changed and have a body like His. It'll be made manifest. Then to
see those who rejected it, will be left down--out--out.

Probably a little horn--civil and ecclesiastical power. But after is lamb,
freedom of religion and so forth. But after while, he spake like a beast,

There's coming a time upon--in this nation, to where this nation is going
to exercise all the power that the beast had before (which was pagan Rome,
when it become papal Rome. See?) that this nation will do that. Revelations
13 plainly explains it. The lamb came up out of the earth. The other beast
came up out of water, thickness and multitudes of people. This lamb came up
where there was no people.
A lamb represents religion--the Lamb of God. And remember, it spoke like a
lamb; it was a lamb, and then after while it received power and spoke like
a dragon, and exercised all the power the--the dragon--power the dragon had
before him; and the dragon is Rome always. So don't you see, Roman denomination,
a marked Protestant denomination, an image unto the beast, making a power
that'll force all Protestants like a union. You'll have to be into this council
of churches, or you won't be able to have fellowship or to--to... Well, it's--it's
practically that way now. You can't go to a church and preach, 'less you have
a fellowship card or some identification.

That denominational system is the mark of the beast. You've knowed it. You
never heard me say it before; that's the reason I've racked it so hard. Because
now I think the time's just about finished, so might as well let it come forth
and tell the Truth about it. There she is. That's the marking of the beast,
exactly. Rome was the beast, and she was denomination, the first organization.
And we come out of her, we Pentecostal people, to not be partakers of it;
and turned right like a dog to its vomit, and a hog to its wallow, right back
in. No wonder our Pentecostal system is done, and so is the Methodists, Baptists,
World Council of Churches, and all. They're being swallowed up in the Council
of Churches, making a mark or--or an image unto the beast to give it its power.
"And it had a head wounded unto death, and then live," pagan Rome
to papal Rome. Oh, my, how blind has Protestants been. And here you are, right
now setting right in the midst of it. And there's nothing you can do now.
The system's done formed. They'll take it and don't know they've took it.
They'll just be in there; that's all. They can't get out of it. It's already
done.

The hour that we're living, the ecclesiasticals, the spirits uniting together
now and bringing them all to this big one slaughter to blot out; it's already
in writing here in this nation now. And these churches has to be closed, unless
you're with the organization. It's a union; it's a boycott, just like the
mark of the beast. And now you see what the beast is, don't you? It's a power.
And a power, a ecclesiastical power, Jesus said it'd be so close like the
real thing, it'd deceive the very elected, if it was possible. But He promised
to have something here for us in that day, that we wouldn't be deceived, and
that's the Word, and Christ to make It manifest to us.
They're supernaturals devils unseen to the eye, but you can see what they're
doing. See?

There's only two classes of people will be on the earth; those with the Seal
of God, and those with the mark of the beast, only two classes. So you'll
have to have one or the other. And it'll be an apostasy, a--a mark of--of
religion, apostate religion. And it's going to have a image unto the beast.
As we study we find out that Rome was, is, and always will be the--or the
beast. Exactly. There's no way to get anything else. Rome...
And what did Rome do? Was converted from pagan Rome unto papal Rome and organized
a system, a universal system, that forced everybody to that one religion or
be put to death.
And it's a strange thing that this United States appears on the scene, and
it's a--like a lamb. And a lamb has two small horns, civil and ecclesiastical
rites. And after while when that was a lamb, we found out that it spoke then
like a dragon and exercised all the power the dragon had before it. And the
Bible tells us that they said, "Let us make a image unto the beast."
A image is something like something else. And we can see it right now that
in its apostate condition the church is forming the World Council of Churches,
which is the image to the power of Rome, and will force upon the people the
same thing that pagan Rome done--or papal Rome did. So there's no other way,
no other thing, but that is the Truth. And that's why I'm striking it in my
age, in my time, is because it's got to be struck at. The call come to "Come
out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins."

People look at Rome. They look at the nation of Italy. And as they look they
do not realize that Rome with her strict confines where the pope has an actual
area as his domain is literally a nation within a nation, and she has ambassadors
and receives ambassadors. PAPAL FALSE CHRISTIAN ROME (she is even called the
eternal city--how blasphemous) NOW CONTROLS BY RELIGION EVEN MORE ABLY THAN
WHEN PAGAN IMPERIAL ROME CONTROLLED BY THE PURE IRON OF FORCE. Rome took on
a new lease of life when Constantine joined church and state and backed the
union by force. The spirit that motivated pagan Rome is the same spirit that
now motivates false Christian Rome. You can see that is so because you now
know that the fourth empire never went out of existence; it just changed in
its outer texture.
Once the Nicene Council had swung the power of political Rome to the church,
it seemed that there were no limits to which this First Christian Church would
go. The name, Christian, which originally brought persecution, now became
the name of the persecutors. It was in this age that Augustine of Hippo (354-430)
set forth the precept that the church ought and MUST use force if necessary
to bring her children back into the fold, and that it was in harmony with
the Word of God to kill the heretics and apostates. In his controversy with
the Donatists he wrote... "It is indeed better that men should be led
to worship God by teaching than that they should be driven to it by fear of
punishment or pain, but it does not follow that because the former course
produces the better men, therefore those who do not yield to it should be
neglected. For many have found advantage (as we have proved and are daily

The false church groups will come together in a world council of churches.
This world council of churches is the IMAGE ERECTED TO THE BEAST. Revelation
13:11-18, "And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and
he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth
all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them
which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on
the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth
by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the
beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image
to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power

was Imperial Pagan Rome that fell by the sword. But she was healed of her
death stroke when she joined to the nominal Christian church of Rome and incorporated
paganism and Christianity, and thereby became the Holy Roman Empire which
was to endure until Jesus came and destroyed her. But Rome is not going it
alone. Her daughters are right with her and she will take over absolute authority
by the World Council of Churches. This may seem far fetched to some but actually
it is very plain for all to see because right now the churches are controlling
politics and at the opportune time will manifest exactly how great is that
control. This ecumenical move will end up with Rome at the head even though
the people did not envision it that way. This is so because in Revelation
17:3-6 it states that the whore, Mystery Babylon is seated on the beast. She
is controlling the last, or fourth empire. This Roman Church is doing that.
With the world church system under her Rome will be controlling, and this
image (church system) will be obedient to Rome because Rome controls the gold
of the world. Thus all the people have to belong to the world church system
or be at the mercy of the elements for they cannot buy or sell without the
mark of the beast in the hand or head. This mark in the head means that they
will have to take the doctrine of the world church system which is trinitarianism,
etc., and the mark in the hand which means to do the will of the world church.
With this great power the church systems will persecute the true bride. This
image will try to keep the bride from preaching and teaching, etc. Her ministers
will be forbidden to give comfort and truth to the people who need it. But
before the antichrist (in person) takes over this complete world system of
churches the true church will be taken away from this world to be with the
Lord. God will catch away His bride for the great Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

foretold of Him coming, what He would do when He got here, and what He would
do in this age to come. So that makes Him the same yesterday, today, and forever.
See? Like in Hebrews there when Paul wrote it, He's God, Jesus Christ yesterday
of the Old Testament. He's Jesus Christ today, manifested in the flesh, and
He's Jesus Christ forever in the Spirit to come (See, see?), same yesterday,
today, and forever. And He ever lives to make His Word live what It said It
would do for that age. He is alive. He was alive in the Old Testament, manifested.

He said, "Well, the first apostle."
And I say, "And you say they were Catholics?"

I said, "Is the Catholic church a universal church?"

I said, "The very word Catholic means "universal," doesn't
it?"
He said, "It does."
Well, I said, "Why is it then that the teaching of the Catholic church
today is so contrary to the Bible?"
He said, "Well, you believe the Bible. We believe the church."
Well I said, "There's no way at all. We..."
He said, "Well God is in His church."
I said, "The Bible said God is in His Word." That's right. And also
the Bible said in the closing of the Book, "He that will take out of
here anything or add anything to it, the same will be taken of his part of
the Book of Life away from him." So I believe the Bible infallibly. I
believe it's the infallible Word of God. I believe there's no more to be added
to it, or anything to be taken away from it. I believe that that is God's
blueprint to His Church. We builders have made a mess out of it; I'll admit
that. But that has nothing to do with the blueprint. It still remains just
the same. And it's God's Bible, and I believe it to be... God is in His Word.
And God is responsible to His Word.

You will recall that I brought out in the Ephesian Age that the word, Nicolaitane,
comes from two Greek words: Nikao which means to conquer, and Lao which means
the laity. Nicolaitane means, "to conquer the laity". Now why is
this such a terrible thing? It is terrible because God has never placed His
church in the hands of an elected leadership which moves with political mindedness.
He has placed His church in the care of God-ordained, Spirit-filled, Word-living
men who lead the people through feeding them the Word. He has not separated
the people into classes so that the masses are led by a holy priesthood. It
is true that the leadership must be holy, but then so must be the whole congregation.
Further, there is no place in the Word where priests or ministers or such
mediate between God and the people, nor is there a place where they are separated
in their worship of the Lord. God wants all to love and serve Him together.
Nicolaitanism destroys those precepts and instead separates the ministers
from the people and makes the leaders overlords instead of servants. Now this
doctrine actually started as a deed in the first age. It appears that the
problem lay in two words: `elders' (presbyters) and `overseers' (bishops).
Though Scripture shows that there are several elders in each church, some
began (Ignatius among them) to teach that the idea of a bishop was one of
pre-eminence or authority and control over the elders. Now the truth of the
matter is the word `elder' signifies who the person is, while the word `bishop'
signifies the office of the same man. The elder is the man. Bishop is the
office of the man. `Elder' always has and always will refer simply to a man's
chronological age in the Lord. He is an elder, not because he is elected or
ordained, etc., but because he IS OLDER. He is more seasoned, trained, not
a novice, reliable because of experience and long standing proof of his Christian
experience. But no, the bishops did not stick to the epistles of Paul, but
rather they went to Paul's account of the time he called the elders from Ephesus
to Miletus in Acts 20. In verse 17 the record states, "elders" were
called and then in verse 28 they are called overseers (bishops). And these
bishops, (no doubt political minded and anxious for power) insisted that Paul
had given the meaning that `overseers' were more than the local elder with
official capacity only in his own church. To them a bishop was now one with
extended authority over many local leaders. Such a concept was neither Scriptural
nor historical, yet even a man of the stature of Polycarp leaned toward such
organization. Thus, that which started as a deed in the first age was made
a literal doctrine and so it is today. Bishops still claim power to control
men and deal with them as they desire, placing them where they so will in
the ministry. This denies the leadership of the Holy Ghost Who said, "Separate
Me Paul and Barnabas for the work where-unto I have called them" This
is anti-Word and anti-Christ. Matthew 20:25-28, "But Jesus called them
unto Him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion
over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall
not be so among you; but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your
minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and
to give His life a ransom for many." Matthew 23:8-9, "But be not
ye called Rabbi: for One is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
And call no man your father upon the earth: for One is your Father, Which
is in heaven."
In order to clarify this even more, let me explain Nicolaitanism in this way.
You recall that in Revelation 13:3 it says, "And I saw one of his heads
as it were wounded to death: and his deadly wound was healed: and all the
world wondered after the beast." Now we know that the wounded head was
the pagan Roman Empire, that great political world power. This head rose again
as the "Roman Catholic spiritual empire". Now watch this carefully.
What did political pagan Rome do that was the basis of her success? She, "divided
and conquered." That was the seed of Rome--divide and conquer. Her iron
teeth tore and devoured. Whom she tore and devoured could not rise again as
when she destroyed Carthage and sowed her to salt. The same iron seed remained
in her when she arose as the false church, and her policy has remained the
same--divide and conquer. That is Nicolaitanism and God hates it.
Now it is a well known historical fact that when this error crept into the
church, men began to vie for the office of bishop with the result that this
position was being given to the more educated and materially-progressive and
politically-minded men. Human knowledge and program began to take over Divine
wisdom's place and the Holy Spirit no longer controlled. This was indeed a
tragic evil, for the bishops began to maintain that it no longer required
a transparent Christian character to minister either the Word or the rites
in the church for it was the elements and the ceremony that counted. This
allowed evil men (seducers) to rend the flock.
With the man-made doctrine of the elevation of bishops to a place not accorded
them in Scripture, the next step was the handing out of graded titles that
built up into a religious hierarchy; for soon there were archbishops over
bishops and cardinals over the archbishops and by the time of Boniface the
third there was a pope over all, a Pontiff.
What with the Nicolaitane doctrine and the amalgamation of Christianity with
Babylonianism the net results had to be what Ezekiel saw in Chapter 8:10,
"So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and
abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon
the wall around." Revelation 18:2, "And he cried mightily, with
a strong voice saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become
the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of
every unclean and hateful bird, for all nations have drunk of the wine of
the wrath of her fornication."
Now this Nicolaitane doctrine, this rule that was established in the church
did not hit it off too well with a lot of the people for they could read the
odd epistle or essay on the Word written by some godly person. So what did
the church do? It excommunicated the righteous teachers and burned the scrolls.
They said, "It takes a special education to read and understand the Word.
Why even Peter said that many things Paul wrote were hard to understand."
Having taken away the Word from the people, it soon came to the people listening
only to what the priest had to say, and doing what he told them. They called
that God and His holy Word. They took over the minds and lives of the people
and made them the servants of a despotic priesthood.
Now if you want proof that the Catholic Church demands the lives and minds
of men, just listen to the edict of Theodosius X. Theodosius' First Edict.
This edict was issued immediately after he was baptized by the First Church
of Rome. "We three emperors will that our subjects steadfastly adhere
to the religion which was taught by Saint Peter to the Romans, which has been
faithfully preserved by tradition and which is now professed by the pontiff,
Damasus of Rome, and Peter, bishop of Alexandria, a man of Apostolic holiness
according to the institution of the Apostles, and the doctrine of the Gospel;
let us believe in one Godhead of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
of equal majesty in the Holy Trinity. We order that the adherents of this
faith be called Catholic Christians; we brand all the senseless followers
of the other religions with the infamous name of heretics, and forbid their
conventicles assuming the name of churches. Besides the condemnation of divine
justice, they must expect the heavy penalty which our authority, guided by
heavenly wisdom shall think proper to inflict..."
The fifteen penal laws that this emperor issued in as many years deprived
the evangelicals of all rights to the exercise of their religion, excluded
them from all civil offices, and threatened them with fines, confiscation,
banishment and even in some cases, death.
Do you know what? We are headed right that way today.
The Roman Catholic Church calls herself the Mother church. She calls herself
the first or original church. That is absolutely correct. She was the original
First Church of Rome that backslid and went into sin. She was the first that
organized. In her was found the deeds and then the doctrine of Nicolaitanism.
No one will deny that she is a mother. She is a mother and has produced daughters.
Now a daughter comes out of a woman. A woman robed in scarlet is sitting on
the seven hills of Rome. She is a harlot and has borne daughters. Those daughters
are the Protestant churches that came out of her and then went right back
into organization and Nicolaitanism. This Mother of the daughter-churches
is called a whore. That is a woman who was untrue to her marriage vows. She
was married to God and then went off fornicating with the devil and in her
fornications she has brought forth daughters that are just like her. This
mother and daughter combination is anti-Word, anti-Spirit and consequently
anti-Christ. Yes, ANTICHRIST.
Now before I get too far along I want to mention that these early bishops
thought that they were above the Word. They told people they could forgive
their sins upon confession of those sins. That never was the truth. They began
to baptize infants in the second century. They actually practiced regenerational
baptism. No wonder people are mixed up today. If they were so mixed up then,
so close to Pentecost, now they are in a most desperate condition, being about
2000 years away from original truth. Oh, Church of God, there is only one
hope. Get back to the Word and stay with it.

he had to make a public testimony. And then everything that Ruth had fell

When he redeemed Naomi, why, he got Ruth in, which is a type of the Gentile
Bride, and so forth. But he was a kinsman redeemer.
Now, God, Who is in Spirit, in-veiled Himself in a body of flesh, which was
His Son, Christ Jesus. And God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself,
and become kinfolks to human beings to suffer the penalty that He had put
on the human Himself. And He became Kinfolks and a Redeemer.
In other words, like this. We was put in the devil's pawnshop, and Jesus paid
the price and brought us out. See? The price was already paid. Now, when Jesus
died at Calvary, He saved every sinner in the world that--or ever would be
in the world, as far as God was concerned.
Now, you wasn't saved ten years ago, or two years ago, or three years ago.
I wasn't saved seventeen years ago. I was saved two thousand years ago. But
I accepted it seventeen years ago.
Now, Jesus didn't come down and die just for me, or die just for you. He settled
the sin question. But it'll never do us any good until we accept it. It's
your accepting of Him as your personal Saviour. And it's by faith that you
receive it and believe it.
Now, in Hebrews 3:1, the Bible said that He's the High Priest of our confession.
Now, He's setting at the right- Now, remember, it isn't how much you cry;
it isn't how much you repent; it isn't how loud you can cry to God; it isn't
how sincere you can be; it's how much faith that you have when you come to
Him. He doesn't save you on the merits of your prayer. He doesn't save you
upon the merits of your righteousness. He saves you upon the merits of your
faith. It's by faith are you saved, and not through grace.
Now, you come to the altar realizing that you're a sinner and you are sorry
for your sins. You repent of what you've done. And you can stay there and
cry for week in and out. And it would never save you until you believe in
your heart that you are saved. Is that right? Then you confess it.
Now, He can't do nothing for you until you confess it. Is that right? For
He is the High Priest of (conjunction)--of your confession. He can do nothing...
"You confess Me before men, I'll confess you before the Father."
Is that right? "What you say I done down here for you, that's what I
say the Father that you... that I have done for you." He's the High Priest.
You get that young man? The High Priest of your confessions. Now, here He
is setting here to make intercessions on my confession, and I have a right
to confess that He's done anything for me that's in the redemptive blessings.
There you are. What was the redemptive blessings? "He was wounded for
our transgressions, bruised for our iniquity, the chastisement of our peace
was upon Him, with His stripes we're healed." Is that right? That's every
believer's possession. That's mine.

What does the flesh do? The flesh only veils the blood. The blood is the life.
That's the only way that keeps life in my body, is for the skin and flesh
and tissues and sinew, and so forth, to hold the blood in their places, so
they can give life to this tabernacle that I'm dwelling in. Is that right?
That's what veiled God from mankind, was the Blood and sinew and skins of
Jesus Christ the Son of God. The unadulterated birth of His, Who God the Father
overshadowed the virgin Mary and created in her the Blood cell of His Own
Being, the creation. And in there, His skin kept It from man.
But one day the sin of man opened up His heart with a spear, and His Blood
ran out on the ground. It was give freely for the sins of the world. And it's
revealed today. And as that Blood came forth, also came Spirit. And through
the washing of the water by the Blood through the Spirit, we are born into
the Kingdom of God, new creatures in Christ Jesus. And God took that dead,
still body laying in the grave, and rose it up for our justification, setting
at the right hand of His majesty tonight, making intercessions. What kind
of a people should we be, cowardly, back down, afraid to say to the boss that
you're saved or born again, afraid to testify to the drunkard? "We have
boldness (hallelujah) to enter into the holiest by the Blood of Jesus Christ."

why? Always in the Presence of God is that bloody Sacrifice.
Now, remember, we went through it this morning. You wasn't saved by the Blood;
you're kept saved by the Blood. But you were saved by grace, through faith,
believing it. God knocked at your heart, because He predestinated you. You
looked up, and believed it, accepted it. Now, the Blood makes an atonement
for your sins.
Remember, I said, "God does not condemn a sinner for sinning." He's
a sinner to begin with. He condemns a Christian for sinning. And then because
He has condemned him, Christ took our condemnation. So there's no condemnation
to them which are in Christ Jesus, that walk not after the flesh, but after
the Spirit. And if you do anything wrong, it isn't willfully. You don't sin
willfully. A man that sins willfully, goes out and willfully sins, never come
into that Body yet. But a man that's once in there, he's dead, and his life
is hid in God through Christ, sealed by the Holy Ghost, and the devil can't
even find him; he's so far back in there. He would have to come out of there
before the devil can ever get in, for you are dead.

Those in the bride do only His will. No one can make them do otherwise. They
have 'thus saith the Lord' or they keep still. They know that it has to be

It may be almost passed feeling time (See?), because there'll come a time
like that when the Spirit of God will be with-taken from the earth, there'll
be no more. The CHURCH will remain a while (That's right.) preaching, 'cause
it has to preach to the eternal lost, just as every ministry did, coming down
through the age. The last part of every ministry preached to the eternal lost.
And there'll be a MINISTRY NOW that'll preach to the eternal lost after they
have refused to receive it.
